About Women's DIY Empowerment Workshops: Building a rustic arched brick fireplace

During this afternoon class, I will teach you how to build a rustic arched brick fireplace into an existing chimney breast fireplace opening.

You will learn how to mix mortar, how to build an arch former, how to cut/divide brick without an electric stone cutter, and, obviously, how to lay the brick.

The class is mainly observational. This means, it won't be hands-on for you (although I will let you have a go), instead I will be demonstrating and explaining to you what I do as I build my arched brick fireplace.

You can just sit back with a plenty of cups of tea and biscuits (even chatting between yourselves without being told off ;)) and watch and learn in the process. It's better than TV!

Hopefully you will walk away thoroughly inspired, with the confidence to know you could do this, too!

I hope to see you there!
